I run friendly mixed ability art classes where you will learn about drawing and painting. This year we will be covering various subject matters including figure drawing, figures in settings i.e. a park, a canal scene, a beach and bonfire night. We will also be exploring colour. Other subjects that we will cover this year are flowers, still life, buildings and landscapes. The subjects will all involve drawing including line, perspective and tone. Painting including colour mixing, different techniques i.e. wet-in-wet, dry brushing, glazing, underpainting, etc. You will use different media including chalk pastels, watercolour paints, and acrylic paints. Weather permitting, in the summer term we will do some sketching and composition work outside at different locations. You will receive lots of guidance and step by step tuition from me. For complete beginners or improvers, everyone is welcome.
